Aerodacious is the junction where aviation and audacious converge in outrageously daring & outstandingly successful first flights.
Who did what first? Life is an envelope from the beginning of time to the end of space. Throughout this envelope, mankind has always endeavored to develop better ways of doing things. This innovative quest leads us to the elusive chase for the facts of "who did what first." Who flew in the air first? Was it man or was it some small creature, a bird that did it unceremoniously and anonymously? Who invented the jet engine? Was it man or was it some small creature, an octopus that did it unceremoniously and anonymously?
Mankind has always been infatuated with firsts. The first to circumnavigate the Earth, the first to fly, the first to run the four-minute mile, the first to reach the North Pole, and on and on. As mankind began to chronicle his history, the magic words, "first described" and "first performed" began the document the long list of first accomplishments.
Doing something that has not been done before. Many people will do something, but only one can do it FIRST!
After the end of WW-I, the airplane became the embodiment of freedom. Man had been freed from his earthly limitations and the sky was given to his dominion. The airplane came at the time when the world needed it. Freedom rode upon wings. People were thrilled at the sight of a plane flying through the peaceful sky. Daring pilots flying boldly designed aircraft were audaciously doing what many once thought to be impossible. Their spirit was infectious with the public. The burden of transportation was being lifted from the crowded tracks of commerce to the free spaces of the air.
Who flew from here to there first? When did this happen? What kind of plane was used to fly this trip? There's a "story" behind every flight! How was this flight event documented so that we and future generations will know that it actually happened?
Postal mail was date, origin and destination sensitive. Accordingly, postal mail that was carried on flights between hither and yon became a logical means to chronicle mankind's conquering of the air. Select a country and appreciate the aeronautical accomplishments of the first flights between different cities in our world.
