Cape Fear Stamp & Cover Club

PO Box 15725

Wilmington, North Carolina     28408-5725

Revised 11/03/2010

About our Logo:          The Cape Fear Stamp & Cover Club was active in Wilmington in the late 1920's through the beginnings of WW-II. Amongst their stamp collecting interests, they commemorated local Wilmington events by issuing specially prepared cachet envelopes. The above logo was taken from one of these commemorative envelopes canceled on June 22, 1939 in Wilmington North Carolina. This cover recognized Wilmington's Bicentennial Celebration when Wilmington became 200 years old (incorporated in 1739). In 2009 the Cape Fear Stamp & Cover Club has been re-activated. A new philatelic cover has been prepared to commemorate the 270th Anniversary of Wilmington on June 22, 2009.
